The EEO Bureau is responsible for ensuring compliance with DPS policy, state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination and harassment on the basis of:

The EEO Bureau works to maintain working and learning environments free from discrimination and harassment by:

  • Investigating internal discrimination and harassment complaints
  • Responding to external discrimination and harassment complaints
  • Publishing an annual Equal Employment Opportunity Plan and Title VI Plan for the agency
  • Serving as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator for DPS
  • Serving as the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) coordinator for the agency
  • Providing civil rights based training for all DPS employees and grant sub-recipients
