Lincoln County, NM– On March 16, 2021 at approximately 10:13 a.m., the New Mexico State Police investigated a fatal rollover crash on NM Highway 48 near milepost 10, north of Ruidoso, NM.
The initial investigation indicated a 1990 Ford F-250 pickup, driven by Tony Bob Mark (49) from Mescalero, NM was traveling north on NM Highway 48. For unknown reasons the Ford left the roadway, struck a large rock and rolled. Mr. Mark succumbed to his injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased on scene by the Office of Medical Investigator.
Alcohol does appear to be a contributing factor in the crash and a seatbelt does not appear to have been utilized. This crash is under investigation by the New Mexico State Police.
